"A Cup of Coffee from Mount Fire"

Continuing the efforts of the Counseling and Legal Support Center for Women, and reaffirming our unity and solidarity as a people in facing our struggles, the initiative "A Cup of Coffee from Mount Fire" was implemented. This initiative targeted women from Gaza and forcibly displaced residents in Nablus who had lost contact with their families due to the war on Gaza, in addition to mothers of prisoners and martyrs from Nablus. The event took place in the Diwan Park affiliated with the Municipality of Nablus, aiming to alleviate psychological pressure, grief, and forced separation. The initiative included a variety of purposeful activities, counseling sessions, communal breakfast, and serving coffee. During discussions, the women participated in alleviating the sorrow resulting from daily events and forced separation, contributing to relieving some of the psychological effects. At the end of the event, commemorative gifts were distributed, including a souvenir representing a coffee cup. The concept of the coffee cup embodies an old story that conveys the spirit of hospitality and welcome, yet it also carries the tale of a precious artistic masterpiece. The story revolves around an emperor who cherished his broken cup. Despite efforts to restore it, no one could bring it back to its original form until a craftsman suggested reconstructing it with gold, turning it into a beautiful work of art that brought joy to the emperor's heart. This story highlights how setbacks can be turned into opportunities for new creativity and for reviving spirits with hope and beauty. This story illustrates the resilience and perseverance of Palestinian women and our people, showing how they can rebuild their lives with hope and determination, overcoming hardships with unwavering faith and strength.
