"The Role of Public Institutions in Supporting Youth and Women in Accessing Decision-Making Positions"

The Enlightenment Cultural Forum, in coordination with the Palestinian Center for Peace and Democracy Issues, held a listening and dialogue session on the role of public institutions in supporting youth and women in accessing decision-making positions. 

The session was attended by members of the Nablus Municipal Council, political parties, grassroots institutions, media organizations, educational institutions, and youth and female volunteers from the Enlightenment initiative. 

Results of a survey conducted by the Palestinian Center were presented and discussed during the session to ensure accountability in guaranteeing that youth and women can access decision-making roles. 

Several recommendations emerged from the session:  
1. Develop networking mechanisms to support women's and youth's access to decision-making positions.  
2. Strengthen the role of the media in advocating for women's rights and improving the portrayal of women in the media.  
3. Establish a youth council.
