“Managing Cooperative Work, Drafting Bylaws and Governance”
Within the series of trainings organized by the Youth Partnership Forum and aimed at developing capacities and developing the work of youth cooperative initiatives and strengthening the participatory relationship, a meeting entitled “Cooperative work management, drafting internal regulations and governance” was held at the headquarters of the Palestinian Cultural Enlightenment Forum Tanweer, where representatives of 20 participants from cooperative initiatives from Nablus, Tulkarem and Jenin Governorate participated in this meeting, where the trainer Fawzan Awad provided training on the concept of cooperatives and the importance of having internal systems and regulations that would regulate the relationship between cooperative members and between cooperative models with each other, He pointed out that the presence of a network is a good way to improve the quality of the cooperative's activities. The trainer Fawzan Awad concluded his meeting by answering a number of questions raised by representatives of cooperative initiatives.
Fadi Abu Salah, coordinator of the “The Land is Ours” cooperative initiative from Jenin, presented a model of an internal system in which he reviewed many items that would be a guide for cooperatives in order to benefit from them, as Fadi emphasized the importance of having such systems that contribute to organizing the relationship and knowing the rights and duties, and many participants made valuable interventions in which they agreed on the importance of unifying efforts and exchanging experiences.
